App Developer

Design and build a functional mobile application and publish it to a platform.

How to complete App Developer

Going from an idea to something strangers can download forces you through the whole loop: design, code, store review, and real-user crashes. The achievement is a working app live on a public store, not a demo running on your laptop.

  1. Pick one narrow problem and one platform first; a single-purpose utility beats an unfinished super-app.
  2. Choose a stack you can actually ship with: Swift/SwiftUI for iOS, Kotlin for Android, or Flutter/React Native for both.
  3. Build a minimal but genuinely functional version, then test it on a real device, not just the simulator.
  4. Register a developer account (Apple is $99/yr, Google a one-time $25) and prepare an icon, screenshots, and a privacy policy.
  5. Submit through App Store Connect or Play Console and fix whatever the reviewers flag.

Tips

  • Apple review takes 1-3 days and rejects vague crashes or missing privacy info; read the guidelines before you submit.
  • Cut features ruthlessly for v1, since you can always update after launch.
  • Test on the oldest, cheapest device you can find; that's where things break.

What counts as done

Your app has a live public listing with an installable build on the App Store or Google Play.
