How to complete Broadcast Initiate

This is the leap from consuming video to publishing it: making something watchable and putting it live on a public platform where strangers can find it. The first upload is the hardest because it forces you to finish and ship instead of endlessly tweaking.

1. Choose a platform and format: a short vertical clip for YouTube Shorts or TikTok is faster to finish than a long horizontal video.
2. Pick one tiny topic you can cover in under three minutes so scope doesn't stall you.
3. Record with whatever you have; phone footage in decent light and clear audio beats a delayed 'perfect' setup.
4. Trim the dead air in CapCut, DaVinci Resolve, or your phone's editor, and add a readable title or caption.
5. Write a clear title plus a short description with a couple of relevant tags, then publish it publicly, not unlisted.

Tips

• Audio matters more than video quality; record somewhere quiet or use cheap earbuds with a mic.
• Don't announce it's your 'first video'; just deliver the thing people searched for.
• Set it public, not private or unlisted, or it can't reach an audience and won't count.

Your video is live and publicly viewable at its own URL, and you've checked it back at least one view from someone who isn't you.
