The Great Escape
5 pointsLearning & Intelligence
Participate in a themed 'Escape Room' challenge with a party.
How to complete The Great Escape
An escape room locks your group in a themed scenario where you solve linked puzzles against a clock to get out. It's a short, social test of communication and lateral thinking that lives or dies on how well the group works together.
- Gather a group of roughly 3-6 and book a room rated for your party's size and experience level.
- Pick a theme and difficulty that fits beginners if it's anyone's first time.
- At the start, search everything and call out what you find so clues get pooled, not hoarded.
- Split into pairs on separate puzzles instead of crowding around one lock.
- Use your hint allowance when stuck for a few minutes; burning time on one puzzle loses the game.
Tips
- Assign one person to track which clues are already used to avoid re-solving them.
- Codes and keys are usually single-use; set solved items aside so they don't clutter the search.
- Listen for the game master's nudges; they're watching and will steer you when you stall.
What counts as done
