How to complete World Knowledge: Asia

Asia spans empires, religions, and revolutions that drive much of world history, yet most people know one or two countries well and the rest barely. Learning the backbone of five gives you a usable mental map of the continent.

1. Select five countries across sub-regions, e.g. China, India, Japan, Iran, and Indonesia, for breadth
2. For each, identify a defining era or dynasty, a major turning point, and how the modern state formed
3. Anchor each with one concrete date or figure, like Meiji Restoration 1868 or Ashoka for India
4. Compare two of them on one theme, such as how each modernized, to make the facts stick
5. Recite your five facts aloud to confirm they're locked in

Tips

• Watch for borders that shifted: facts about pre-1947 India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh overlap, so be precise
• Tie each country to a trade route or war you already know to hang the new facts on existing knowledge
