The Social Invite
20 pointsmental health & self-care
Reach out and ask someone to hang out because you are feeling lonely.
Private by default: this achievement never appears on your public profile unless you enable it in settings. Only you see your progress here.
How to complete The Social Invite
Loneliness usually tells you to withdraw, which makes it worse. This achievement is about overriding that instinct and actively reaching toward another person instead of waiting to be invited.
- Pick one specific person you'd genuinely enjoy seeing, not whoever feels least awkward.
- Send a concrete invite with a real option: "Want to grab coffee Saturday?" beats a vague "we should hang out sometime."
- Send it before you overthink it. The gap between deciding and doing is where the excuse lives.
- If they're busy, propose another time or message someone else rather than reading it as rejection.
- Show up when they say yes, even if the loneliness has lifted by then.
Tips
- You don't have to explain that you're lonely; the invite itself does the work.
- Lower the bar: a walk or a phone call counts just as much as a full plan.
- A no almost always means bad timing, not disinterest. Try one more person before concluding anything.
What counts as done
You sent a real invitation to a specific person because you wanted connection, regardless of their answer.
