How to complete The Great Escape

An escape room locks your group in a themed scenario where you solve linked puzzles against a clock to get out. It's a short, social test of communication and lateral thinking that lives or dies on how well the group works together.

1. Gather a group of roughly 3-6 and book a room rated for your party's size and experience level.
2. Pick a theme and difficulty that fits beginners if it's anyone's first time.
3. At the start, search everything and call out what you find so clues get pooled, not hoarded.
4. Split into pairs on separate puzzles instead of crowding around one lock.
5. Use your hint allowance when stuck for a few minutes; burning time on one puzzle loses the game.

Tips

• Assign one person to track which clues are already used to avoid re-solving them.
• Codes and keys are usually single-use; set solved items aside so they don't clutter the search.
• Listen for the game master's nudges; they're watching and will steer you when you stall.

You completed a booked escape-room session with a group, whether or not you beat the clock.
