Subaquatic Observation

Visit a public aquarium to observe a diverse range of marine species.

How to complete Subaquatic Observation

A public aquarium lets you see marine life you'd otherwise need a dive certification and a plane ticket to encounter: sharks, rays, jellyfish, and reef species in one afternoon. The achievement rewards breadth, so the goal is to actually move through the different habitat zones rather than camp at one tank.

  1. Find a public aquarium within reach and check opening hours and any timed-entry booking
  2. Buy tickets online in advance where possible: it's usually cheaper and skips the queue
  3. Walk the full route through distinct zones: cold-water, tropical reef, deep tank, and touch pools
  4. Time your visit around a feeding or talk, listed on the daily schedule, to see the animals active

Tips

  • Go right at opening or in the last two hours; midday and weekends pack the dark tunnels shoulder-to-shoulder
  • Look for resident-discount or off-peak pricing, and check if a local museum membership includes entry
  • Tunnel and large-tank exhibits are far better with thin crowds, so prioritize them early

What counts as done

You visited a public aquarium and observed several distinct marine species across its exhibits.
