Self-Care Sunday
10 pointsmental health & self-care
Dedicate an entire Sunday to preparation, rest, and pampering to set up a successful week.
How to complete Self-Care Sunday
This is a deliberate reset day where you front-load the unglamorous logistics, laundry, meals, a glance at the week, and pair them with real rest so Monday doesn't ambush you. Done properly it removes a week of small decisions and leaves you genuinely recharged rather than just less busy.
- Block the whole day and tell anyone who might interrupt that you're off
- Clear the prep first: laundry, groceries, meal prep, and a quick look at the week ahead
- Then switch fully to restorative things like a long bath, a nap, a walk, a book, or skincare
- Keep work email and screens out of it, since half-working through the day defeats the purpose
Tips
- Do prep before pampering; relaxing while chores still loom never actually relaxes you
- It doesn't have to be Sunday, pick whichever day comes before your busiest stretch
- Write the menu and shopping list the night before so the day flows without errands
What counts as done
You spent a full day on both preparation and rest, and walked into the next week set up instead of scrambling.
