Flashcard Fanatic

Use a Spaced Repetition System (like Anki) to memorize 500+ facts or vocabulary words.

How to complete Flashcard Fanatic

Spaced repetition lets you memorize hundreds of items and actually retain them, because the algorithm surfaces each card right before you'd forget it. Five hundred cards, like a language's core vocabulary or a set of anatomy terms, is enough to feel the compounding payoff of daily reviews.

  1. Install Anki (free except on iOS) or a similar SRS and create or download a deck for your subject.
  2. Write atomic cards: one fact each, a clear prompt on the front, no multi-part answers.
  3. Do your due reviews every single day; skipping lets the backlog and the forgetting both pile up.
  4. Add new cards in small daily batches of 10-20 so reviews stay manageable as the deck grows.
  5. Reformulate any card you keep failing instead of grinding it, since a bad card never sticks.

Tips

  • Prebuilt shared decks save hours, but cards you write yourself are remembered better.
  • Add images or example sentences for context; bare word pairs are the hardest to recall.
  • Keep daily reviews short and consistent rather than cramming hundreds in one sitting.

What counts as done

Your SRS shows 500+ cards you've learned and are reviewing on schedule, most of them at mature, long-interval stages.
