How to complete Capital Club

Capital cities concentrate a country's politics, landmark architecture, and national museums, so collecting ten is a fast way to sample very different cultures. It rewards deliberate routing over aimless wandering.

  1. List the capitals you've already visited, then target clusters reachable by short flights or trains.
  2. In Europe, chain neighboring capitals like Vienna, Bratislava, Budapest, and Prague in a single trip.
  3. Spend at least a full day in each so you see the core, not just the airport.
  4. Keep a dated record: one photo at a recognizable landmark per capital.

Tips

  • Budget airlines and overnight trains make multi-capital trips cheap if you book ahead.
  • A layover doesn't count unless you leave the airport and spend real time in the city.
