Birthday Host
40 pointssocializing & friendship
Successfully organize and execute a full birthday party for yourself or another player.
How to complete Birthday Host
Pulling off a birthday is logistics plus reading the guest of honor: knowing whether they want a loud room or six close people in a quiet one. The achievement is owning the whole thing end to end, from the first invite to the last bit of cleanup.
- Set date, headcount, and budget first, since every other decision flows from those three.
- Send invites two to three weeks out with a clear time, place, and whether to bring anything.
- Plan food, a cake or its stand-in, and one anchor moment or activity so it's not just milling around.
- Delegate setup and cleanup on the day so you're not stuck working through your own party.
- Take a few photos early, because hosts almost always forget and end up in none of them.
Tips
- Confirm headcount two days before; "maybe" guests skew your food and seating badly.
- For a surprise, give one trusted person the single job of getting the guest there on time.
What counts as done
A party you organized actually happened: guests came, the person felt celebrated, and you ran the planning rather than just showing up.
