Air Purifier
20 pointsbasic health & wellness
Run an air purifier with a HEPA filter in your bedroom to improve your overnight air quality.
How to complete Air Purifier
You sleep roughly a third of your life in one room, breathing the same air on a loop. A HEPA purifier pulls out the dust, pollen, pet dander, and fine particulate that build up overnight, which can ease congestion, allergies, and that stuffy-morning feeling.
- Pick a unit with a true HEPA filter rated for your room's square footage (check the CADR number against your floor area).
- Place it a few feet from the bed with clear space around the intake and outlet, not crammed in a corner or behind furniture.
- Run it on a low or auto setting through the night so it cycles the room's air several times.
- Note the filter replacement interval and set a calendar reminder, since a clogged filter just moves stale air around.
Tips
- "True HEPA" matters; "HEPA-type" or "HEPA-like" labels don't meet the same standard.
- Auto/sleep modes keep noise down while still cleaning, so you actually leave it on.
- Skip ionizer-only models that produce ozone if you want pure mechanical filtration.
What counts as done
The purifier runs in your bedroom through the night with a genuine HEPA filter installed.
