Vanguard Push
40 pointsfitness & sports
Complete 50 perfect, unbroken push-ups in a single set. Significant upper body strength detected.
How to complete Vanguard Push
Fifty strict push-ups in one unbroken set is a real strength benchmark that very few untrained people can hit cold. Perfect reps mean full range and a rigid body, not half-reps with a sagging hip. Reaching it builds pressing strength and the core stability that carries into almost every other upper-body movement.
- Test your honest max with strict form so you know your real starting point
- Train push-ups several times a week using sets just short of failure
- Hold a plank between attempts to build the rigid torso that keeps form clean
- Use grease-the-groove sets through the day, stopping well before fatigue ruins reps
- Attempt the full 50 only when comfortable doing sets of 30 to 35 cleanly
Tips
- A rep counts only if chest reaches near the floor and arms fully lock out
- Keep a straight line from head to heels; flaring elbows wide kills shoulders
- Squeezing glutes and bracing your abs makes each rep noticeably stronger
What counts as done
You complete 50 full-range push-ups in a single set without resting or dropping your knees.
