The 100 Squat Challenge

Complete 100 bodyweight squats in a single set. Endurance test passed.

How to complete The 100 Squat Challenge

One hundred bodyweight squats without racking or resting is a leg and lung endurance test, not a strength feat. The challenge is pacing your breathing and managing the burn so your form holds through the back half when your quads are screaming.

  1. Nail the movement first: feet shoulder-width, weight in heels, hips back and down to at least parallel
  2. Set a steady rhythm rather than racing; one squat every two to three seconds is sustainable
  3. Breathe deliberately, inhale on the way down, exhale driving up, and never hold your breath
  4. Push through the wall that hits around rep 60-70 by shortening your mental count into blocks of ten
  5. Stand fully upright at the top of every rep so all 100 count cleanly

Tips

  • Practice sets of 40 and 60 in the days before to learn your pacing
  • If your knees cave inward, push them out and slow down rather than grinding sloppy reps
  • A wall or chair behind you helps groove consistent depth
