Grip Strength Elite
35 pointsfitness & sports
Hang from a pull-up bar for 2 minutes straight without your hands slipping.
How to complete Grip Strength Elite
Hanging two unbroken minutes from a bar is a grip and forearm endurance benchmark that most people fail well before the halfway mark. It builds the exact crushing and holding strength that carries over to deadlifts, climbing, and carrying heavy things in real life.
- Hang daily for short sets, accumulating time until single hangs reach 45-60 seconds.
- Use a full grip with thumbs wrapped around the bar, not an open hook.
- Hang relaxed with shoulders engaged but arms straight to conserve energy.
- Train forearms directly: dead hangs, farmer carries, and wrist curls 2-3x/week.
- Attempt the full 2 minutes rested, with chalk, on a comfortable-diameter bar.
Tips
- Chalk or liquid chalk dramatically extends hang time by killing sweat slip.
- A thinner bar is much easier to hold than a thick one, so pick your bar deliberately.
- Breathe steadily and relax your face and shoulders; tension burns grip faster.
What counts as done
Continuous 120-second hang with both hands on the bar the entire time, no resetting your grip.
