2. Keep only intent-driven tools on the first screen: maps, camera, messages, notes, calendar.
3. Group the rest into a few function-labeled folders instead of scattering icons everywhere.
4. Strip lock-screen widgets and shortcuts down to what you actually use, removing anything showing a feed.
5. Set a plain or grayscale wallpaper so the screen is calmer to look at.

Tips

• Leave the bottom thumb row empty so the first thing under your finger after unlocking isn't a tappable time-sink.
• Launch buried apps with swipe-down search instead of keeping their icons handy.
• Accessibility grayscale mode removes the color cues that pull you toward certain apps.
