Fit Together

Set a shared fitness goal with your partner, train together, and both reach it.

How to complete Fit Together

Training toward one shared target turns fitness from two parallel solo projects into a team sport, and couples who train together show up for workouts neither would do alone. The specific goal matters less than the accountability structure you build to reach it.

  1. Pick one concrete, measurable goal you both want: a 10K, twenty gym sessions each in a month, a strength benchmark, or a hike you currently can't do.
  2. Set a deadline and a shared tracker: whiteboard, spreadsheet, or an app you both check.
  3. Schedule workouts as joint calendar events and scale the same session to each person's level.
  4. Agree on the bad-day rule in advance: if one of you wants to skip, the other decides.
  5. Plan the celebration before you start so the finish line has something waiting at it.

Tips

  • Let the less fit partner set the pace: resentment kills shared goals faster than injury does.
  • Competing motivates some couples and wrecks others; decide early whether you're teammates or rivals.
  • Check progress weekly with numbers, not daily with feelings.

What counts as done

Both partners hit the agreed target by the deadline you set together.
