How to complete Public Praise

Privately complimenting your partner is easy. Saying something admiring about them out loud, to a group, while they're standing right there is a small public act of pride that most people quietly avoid.

1. Pick one specific, true thing they did or are good at
2. Say it to the group, not just turned toward your partner
3. Be concrete: "she rebuilt that whole deck herself" beats "she's amazing"
4. Resist the reflex to soften it with a teasing joke at the end

• Keep it grounded in something real so it doesn't sound like a performance
• Read the room and make sure they feel proud, not put on the spot
