Bookmark Organizer

Audit your internet bookmarks: delete dead links and organize the rest into logical categories.

How to complete Bookmark Organizer

A bookmarks bar that's a wall of untitled, half-dead links is just clutter you scroll past. A quick audit turns it back into something you actually click and surfaces the handful of pages you genuinely return to.

  1. Open the bookmark manager (Ctrl or Cmd+Shift+O in most browsers)
  2. Click through suspect links and delete anything that 404s, redirects, or you no longer recognize
  3. Group survivors into a few broad folders like Work, Reference, and Read Later rather than dozens of tiny ones
  4. Move daily-use links onto the bookmarks bar and collapse everything else into folders

Tips

  • A link-checker extension can flag dead bookmarks in bulk instead of testing each by hand
  • If Read Later holds hundreds of stale items, archive or delete the lot; you won't get to them

What counts as done

Every remaining bookmark opens a live page and lives in a labeled folder with no orphans.
