Plant-Based Prototype

Eat an entirely plant-based diet for a full 24-hour cycle.

How to complete Plant-Based Prototype

A single fully plant-based day is a low-stakes test run (no eggs, dairy, meat, or fish for one full cycle) that shows you how easy or hard it actually is before committing to anything bigger. It's as much about noticing hidden animal ingredients as it is about the food itself.

  1. Plan all three meals the night before so you're not stuck hungry with no options.
  2. Anchor each meal on filling plant protein: beans, lentils, tofu, tempeh, or chickpeas.
  3. Check labels for hidden dairy, eggs, honey, and whey, which hide in bread, sauces, and snacks.
  4. Pick one reliable backup (a bean burrito, oatmeal, a grain bowl) in case a meal falls through.
  5. Track everything you eat across the full 24 hours to confirm nothing slipped in.

Tips

  • Fortified soy or oat milk keeps coffee and cereal easy.
  • Restaurant 'veggie' dishes often contain butter, cheese, or fish sauce, so ask.
  • Eat enough volume; plant meals can be lower-calorie, leaving you hungry if you under-portion.

What counts as done

A full 24 hours have passed with zero animal products in anything you ate or drank.
