Physical Tic Subdued

Notice you are nervously bouncing your leg or tapping, and successfully ground your feet to stop it.

How to complete Physical Tic Subdued

Leg bouncing, foot tapping, and similar fidgets are nervous energy leaking out, often without you noticing. Catching one and deliberately stilling it is a small act of self-regulation that also makes you read as calmer to people around you.

  1. Notice the movement, the bouncing knee, drumming fingers, or jiggling foot
  2. Press both feet flat into the floor and feel the contact
  3. Take one slow breath out, letting your shoulders drop with it
  4. Keep your feet grounded for a stretch instead of letting the tic restart

Tips

  • Don't just suppress it, redirect the energy with a slow exhale or a quick stretch
  • If it keeps returning, that's a signal you're anxious or under-stimulated, address the cause

What counts as done

You spotted a nervous fidget and consciously stilled it by grounding your feet.
